Releases and Hobby News The week of the National Sports Card Show

Posted by Rob Dolby - Game Time Sports Collect on Jul 31st 2018

Are you going to the National? What days? Have you ever been? It's that time of year again and all of us can relate to these questions. If you have been to the National, great. If you are going this week in Cleveland, great. if you cant' make it for whatever reason, it's also a great week. The hobby still exits this week outside of the National. Let me explain a little bit. I have been in the hobby for fourteen years on the business end and many more years starting about thirteen as a collector. And guess what, I have never been to The National. This year will be my first year. Since its in Cleveland and I reside in south central Ohio I kind of feel obligated. Am I excited? I am a little excited, but mostly to see many of my friends and fellow entrepreneurs in one place.

So you are not going to make the National? Push all those surely exaggerated bargains out your mind and make the best of it. Your local hobby shop will likely be valuing every customer who walks through the door, show them some love. Its a great release week [see below] and many of these local owners will treat you right even if the big box guys are pre-selling Chrome Baseball Jumbos at $230. So going to Nationals or not its another great week in the hobby we love.
