PART 1

Every year, except one, in recent memory I have been advised to preorder light on football because the rookie class is weak. I often have listened to this advise and found myself with empty shelves and missed opportunities. Prior to the draft, I did not hear the usual bashing of the class. I often heard quite the opposite. The pre draft buzz was not centered around a player to two, but on the fact so many of the draft ready players were offensive players. If we like its or not, homeruns and touchdowns drive the sports card market. Add to this fact that the Ohtani mania has cooled and several rookies have shined in NFL preseason games, we area about to see a shift in the distribution of all those hobby dollars. I have been dealing with the hobby box side of the card business for over fifth-teen years, the last three with it being my primary source of income. Ten years ago way less products were allocated,[ i.e.. limited to the number of boxes I was ALLOWED to get] Now, most products are allocated and some of the guess work is done for me. I always want all the product I am allocated to get. This could not be more true than with this years football products.

A few weeks ago a made a prediction the it would be difficult to find Certified Football Hobby boxes under $150 by October and Just last week Donruss Football boxes would be over $80 very soon. Well, I'm sticking to those predictions. I also see promising things for this years Unparalleled. Last year, I reordered  this product at least ten times.
